New Adventures in Sound Art: MaRS Discovery
District
will be hosting Steve Heimbecker and the presentation of a
64 channel loudspeaker installation, which determines its
playback algorithm from the data collected from wind sensors
mounted on top of the ex-centris building in Montreal. Heimbecker
is a Canadian sound and new media artist whose work embodies
the creative meeting point between music, architecture and
acoustics.
